I think there’s a chance Pep could start Cancelo ahead of Walker today. Obviously Walker’s pace would be a huge asset against the likes of Rashford, but the fact he played on Wednesday plus Guardiola’s recent comments about form/players making mistakes makes me think it’s not a given.
It's so hard to work Pep out sometimes who will play apart from his regular pets. I think he confuses himself on occasion. His last big brain fart was Lyon. Bizzare formation and selection to contain rather than attack with proper conviction. Fuck knows who he'll select today and what tictacs he'll use. Should be mint but will probably be red berry blast: /

Apologies if already posted but £5 free bet on the game at Paddy Power. Dias 1st goal 33/1 for me

Only a non-Mancunian, modern hipster, internet and international TV fan could possibly toss off one derby defeat in such a casual fashion.
To toss off three in a year is the sign of someone who supports Pep FC not Manchester City Football Club.
I am a Manc.
I grew up in Longsight and after travelling the country and Europe for many years, I live back in Manchester.
I have been going to the stadium and watching this team with my dad since aged 6 and on my own since I was a child of 11 and before then I could hear the goals going in as I kicked a ball around in the terraced streets where I grew up.
My school didnt have its own playing fields so our home football ground was the astro at Platt Lane, we even had our PE lessons on it.
Suffice to say I will not be lectured about what is and what is not a derby defeat for my club by some fucking internet watching dilettante from the US, Spain, London or wherever the fuck you hail from.
You walk a mile in my shoes in Manchester these last four or five decades then you can talk your usual shite about ‘not watching Spanish football’.
Until then, hush your fucking tourist nonsense
Great post. Widely praised and rightly so.

I love to see the passion come out on derby day.

Seeing the chain reaction to this, especially the humiliation of Pep’s little puppet, are really putting me in the mood.

40+ shots on target with one goal for us.

A lucky deflection to make is 1-1 at HT
Second half we have our usual drop off and an 79th min pen following VAR for thrm cunts bruno fernandes scores, we rue our chances again and the gnome saves his job for another week

We are back in a winning mindset. Players competing for a place. Manger looking reinvigorated. We have to crush them. It’s the Derby for gods sake.

Ha, I actually blocked him after the last post where he resorted to barefaced lies just to have a reason to have a go at Guardiola. I realised that when someone is so deranged they will invent reasons to be angry at his own club's most successful manager, there's not really any point carrying on.

Not surprising that he thinks the answer to being caught out in a lie is to lie more, put words in my mouth and then resort to "who's the biggest blue" and not surprising you think that's a top post.

@Didsbury Dave summed it up pretty well in his post.

I don't know if Didsbury is close enough to Maine Road for him or the half a dozen posters who agreed with him to be having that point of view, I guess you and the other one are the experts on that.
Same old, same old.

i would be very surprised at that. Pace is much needed against these.

Think it will be:
Ederson
Cancelo, Walker, Dias, Stones, Mendy
De Bruyne, Rodri
Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling.
Cancelo mostly playing central midfield.

Hope that Torres plays for Mendy and Foden for Mahrez.

I find anyone dismissing the relelvance or importance of a deby day, whether the result affects us in league position or standing as a club or not as missing the actual point.

That stance was the very same bullshit them cunts came up with throughout the 90s while actively loving our derby defeats and being painfully hurt at their derby loses, all the while sniffing at us with some self entitlement.

Well even if they were in the evo stick league one, them cunts will always be hated and our rivals, I would never lower myself to act as they did sneering and dismissing us while openly showing how much they were bothered by us in a big fuck off banner and plenty of song still.

A derby day is always an important fixture not just another game, I want to hammer these wankers and send them home crying.

No mistakes at the back today, that Laporte vs Tottenham still pisses me off, that literally set their game plan up for them perfectly, can’t afford it against these lucky fuckers

It's quite simple, man mark the Portuguese diver and they're fucked, oh for another Dave Connor

Come on Blues!

For me, the team for today should be:
Walker, Stones, Dias, Mendy
Rodri, Gundogan Kev
Gabby, Phil and Torres.

I think that Mahrez will play for Torres and Raz will play for Foden.
Bench will be Steffen, Foden, Bernardo, Aguero and Laporte.

Great post. 14 likes and counting.

I love to see the passion come out on derby day. One or two hipsters (as you call them) and social climbers on here say it’s just another game. They praise their pin-up boy for treating it that way. Anything else is just “ickle Citeh”.

IS IT FCUK!

It's not a great post for it's too aggressive to non-Mancunian fans. City are now a global club, one of the biggest in the world, with supporters all over the world. The club can't be really big without non-Mancunian fans. It's important to beat Manure not just because they are a local club but also because they are big, and they are big because they have many many non-local fans.

Let's face it:

City owners are non-Mancunian, not even British

the club bosses are non-Mancunian, not even British

the manager is non-Mancunian, not even British

virtually all of the players are non-Mancunian, the vast majority not even British.

Local fans will always be very special and important to the club but it's not really necessary to dismiss the non-local fans like that.

Of course, some fans may prefer the time when City weren't that big and had few fans in other parts of the world. That's their free choice. They are free to hate non-Mancunian fans if they want to. I guess most City supporters are not like them though.
