Would have liked to have seen Bernie or Phil (personal view) but great side nonetheless and hard to leave anyone out at the moment

smash these city

Would have preferred Phil over Raheem and a place for Bernie. Kev always seems to take 5 games to get back in the swing after injury. And if you think this isnt an attempt at a reverse jinx then i dont know what to say.

As you were told a few weeks back, it sends totally the wrong message to Bernardo who has seen a half fit team mate walk back in to the side
Agree 100 % the lad is exceptional and on form. He should be in the first 11 .

Really surprised he isn’t starting Silva. He plays really well with Mahrez on the right hand side. I would have started Fernandinho as well, just to get stuck into Fernandes. Lack of energy in the centre of the park might cost us today.

I'm sure that is the same frontline United played against us in the league when they beat us last season, keeping James and Martial high and wide?

Surprised not to see Walker pace included and always worried when Bernie and Foden legs aren't starting.

It's quite a methodical line up, slow build up and keeping it tight?

If Mahrez works like he has been doing then we will be fine, let’s face it he’s been pretty tasty as of late

Mahrez is key, I believe him to be a talented player but a flat track bully, he needs to step up now and continue his form against (former) top 6 sides

For me walker and Bernardo simply have to play, for the pace to combat the counter and the energy and dynamism they provide. I'd like to have seen foden in there too but that's a preference call. On paper that team lacks energy.

Above all, I'm disappointed to see sterling on the left, he hasn't once beaten wan bissaka in any game they've faced one another, he cant out run him and doesn't seem to be able to get free of him and feel Foden would have him on toast with his superior technical ability. Prove me wrong please Sterling.

At least Pep hasn't gone with some crazy untested formation, I'm glad that side of him is slowing fading away in these big match ups.

Not sure that's the right team for this game to be honest.

I really don't think KDB has done enough since coming back (and earlier in the season) to be starting this one. I assume they'll play on the counter and KDB tends to give the ball away a bit too cheaply at times which can lead to dangerous counters. Gundogan also tends not to be at his best for whatever reason when KDB plays

I would have had Bernardo and/or Foden starting for their energy, ball retention and pressing and I Walker for his pace against the counter. Mahrez has earnt his place.

Those are my thoughts anyway, for what they are worth. Let's hope Guardiola has got it right.

the line up is ok and gives us option from the bench. my only fear is gundogan will he be pushed back into the hold role to stop them flooding the middle of the park. big game player KDB will you please stand up today

Mahrez has played well recently so see why he starts. Foden must be itching to play in the derby. Bernardo unlucky not to start as he's been in great form. When you look at the quality on our bench compared to theirs, OMG they have no depth in that squad. Just shows the difference in the clubs.

Foden for Sterling all day in this game.
What does Bernardo have to do to prove he's the most energetic player in the prem.
Smacks of old guard this line up, but hey Peps the boss and he must have a plan.

Now shape yourself today Raz
