Looks like it was an armed cop with the Taser. They're trained to deal with situations like this.
He obviously felt confident to use Taser rather then his side arm.

That's a shame.

Exactly this. There is no doubt who has done it - all in cctv. Hang the bastad.

It's better for the security services if they can question the perpetrator and find out how many more are involved or potentially involved in any future attacks.

Odd that ambulance service say four people stabbed and taken to hospital and GMP say five, unless one was stabbed but doesn't need hospital treatment. Hope everyone is safe

If it is a terrorism incident the one thing it will never achieve is stopping me going about my normal life , been travelling through town since I was eleven to school, work and socialising. The IRA didn’t stop me, the arena bomb didn’t and neither would this , will never let these scum beat me .

I really hope everyone recovers from this and that this person gets what's coming to him. That said, this is one of the reasons I avoid the middle of Manchester whenever I can and if I do go through Manchester I am very aware of my surroundings.
