Your going to see more and more Augmented Reality (AR) this is where the virtual world meets the real world in both fun and serious applications You may have already seen the FA Cup AR well this is obviously a fun application and I guess the staff in the video were playing with another example I work in the car industry and we are looking at many serious ways that AR can be used for example a change in a design can be seen on the real car before any tools are committed. Audi have a fun application of AR on their website in the A1 section, download the software print off the target and when your webcam see the target the A1 appears on the screen. Using the controls it can be manipulated back and forth, doors and sunroof opened etc Think of sat nav and Google Street View combinded and you will see where future sat nav is going, especially when combined with Google Earth 3D buildings instead of just a map you will see a combination of the real world and your root mapped out for you There are numerous AR apps on smart phones just have a search in the app stores Looks like City are ahead of the other clubs with this I suggest we sit back and enjoy

it shows a handful of people using the "augmented reality" feature of their season/membership card to unlock a 3D balti pie on a computer. you couldn't see the pie, just their reactions to how realistic the augmented reality 3D sultanas were.
