Manchester City's ultimate team of the decade

I violently disagree - this is fucking terrible!!!!

Where is Jo? He deserves a spot on this list surely!!!

Bony - LOL. It's Jo!!!

Team:

Ederson
Zabba Laporte Kompany Kolarov
Fernandinho
Y. Toure
KDB D. Silva
Tevez Aguero

Manager:
Pep

442 to squeeze Tevez in - Tevez (huge drama aside) and Y. Toure (ditto) were our best players at their respective positions - this side lets them in.

Fernanadinho to hold - sublime there.

Y. Toure - deep mid - capable of the deft pass to spring an attack. Lazy always on D, but Fernandinho can cover. When appropriate, unstoppable surging forward.

Tevez tended to wander around looking for the ball/over-defending - so I"d put him slightly behind the Aguero position and let him do his thing. Tevez had a motor for sure - non-stop on attack/defense so a sort of position just behind the main striker should have suited him fine - the team needing to cope with his movement.

Kolarov was terrible on defense - but on offense, he had a tremendous cross - very underrated IMO among city fans - and what better LB did we have?

Not to mention a howitzer of a shot from free kicks and occasionally open play.

Just so.

Whenever the Serbia national team took the field, Kolarov was by far the best player on the pitch bar none. With City he didn't display this skill often - nonetheless... our best LB of the decade for me.

Under Pellegrini, Kolarov took a huge, huge hit in performance/fan support.

Yet, IMO. the Pellegrini decline is well understood - Pellers was terrible at instilling loyalty, drive, commitment, support, etc. of any manager we've had in the last decade or so. Pellers was incapable of motivating his side in his 2nd+ year... abject performances all around followed.

Pellers was of course handicapped severely as having largely been thought-of as a care-taker manger until Pep arrived ; at the same time, he should have done much better motivating our side regardless of circumstances.

Fernandinho to drop into the back four when defending. But we’d never lose the ball with that team anyway so he’d be on the attack more often than defending.

Agree with all - except Dzeko.

Dzeko is amazing - but in our side suffered due to the way we played.

I went 442 instead, dropped Dzeko and started (hugely controversial) Kolarov instead.

Great choices nonetheless - we only differ on Kola
