They ran a story this morning about Tevez. Within the article was the following comment regarding David Silva.

"The Silva deal is not so far advanced, with the player still involved in the World Cup but City are still hopeful of securing his £29m transfer."

2 hours later he has signed!

Well done M.E.N. bang on the money again!

They have started making a point of adding "A well placed City source said" in to their articles! Todays events show that they have no source of any worth at the club! Pure guesswork that today has completely backfired, if they had any sense they would spend time on here reading THs posts because they would then have something with a bit of substance!
 
not been on there since the web page was changed, they take the piss everything in red youtube like video highlights of the rags banging in goals usually against us, tickets for rag games being advertise on our side as well. The people running that web site are all rags and probably in fits of laughter everytime they stick anything rag related on the city side. Oh apparently they are changing the colour to blue on thursday on there.
 
i aint read the [a[er or been on the site since bailey left and brennan took over, poor paper now for city info. cant see the paper lasting that much longer really

Agreed!

Back in the day it used to be a must for me everyday as it was a bastion for City news. Now it's a poor substitute of its former self. Shame really.

I think as I started this thread and had a go at the M.E.N it is only right that I share some info I have received via PM.

Basically someone has been in touch to say that the Tevez article was written yesterday and at the time of writing the Silva deal was looking like being more protracted than what has transpired.

Kinda fits in with Kinkys post above!

They'te cackin it sales wise (and hopefully credibility wise).. the M(U) EN has been tumbled so many times as not ITK recently that it' getting embarrassing.

There's also the spin.. a classic recently regarding Spanish based players looking to move..
although the players involved were already heavily linked with City, the MUEN ran the back page headline... something like 'Fergie on red alert as...etc etc

No mention of City.

I no longer buy MEN: they can do one.

They've even got that bitter rag Andeh Mittohn writing City stories for them now. How can they stoop so low? Mittohn is on a par with Terry Christian ffs.

That without doubt the worst item I have ever read in the M(U)EN about City ever, in otherwords players would sooner go elsewhere but clubs want to sell to us because we will overpay and we are not a threat......thats from your LOCAL paper guys!

i wanna put something to u guys that we are making some mistakes here,we are not looking at fullbacks who has the abilities to send in cross to the attackers and also give us a defensive attitude to our games and don't forget we have to operate with setting format to our play and though players im looking for can be like Macion and others like him who gives u options when u attack.to my opinion we don't have does players and i want us to look through our signings careful before the start of the season.i hope somebody gets what im trying to share here.
 
I haven't bought a MEN for a long time for this very reason.

When their website got re done recently the City stories were in red caps. Now you may say that's pathetic but thats just how it is. Fan short for fanatic.

Their senior management team will pay for the poor relations they have with City in the long run.
 
Have not been on MUEN for about a year now.
I got well anoyed one day when they started an article with the words
MONEYBAGS CITY....
