I am as staggered at this article as the rest of you, and have made my views known to David and to our online operation, as have one or two other journalists.
In fact, I have just written a reply to David's article which is due to go online shortly - apologies in advance if it is misses any points, but it had to be done quickly.
All I can say is that David is entitled to his opinion.

Thanks for coming on SB.Now do us all a favour and go and kick the thick Scouser in the nuts.

Nah, that's too good for him, just get him on the floor in a headlock and then do what oakiecokie says!!

(& I am not usually a person who advocates violence of any description. So sorry guys to spoil my image as a fun loving, old lady!!) :-)

Now there`s something you don`t see to often ... a pair of old buggers endorsing thuggery. ;) Well said Pet.

There are this number of empty seats at EVERY ground in the country, yet because ours are bright blue, they are more obvious.

Ridiculous article - and why would the club be too bothered by a couple of hundred supporters not turning up despite PAYING for their seat?

Stuart – great that you’ve had the courtesy of replying. Unfortunate you have to answer for other people’s work.

You’re right, he is entitled to his opinion. However, and I say this as a fellow journalist, he has a responsibility to ensure what he is reporting is factually accurate – and quite clearly this wasn’t.
I think he’s on fairly dodgy ground to be honest – you simply couldn’t defend that with fair comment because it is so inaccurate. He hasn’t done any kind of checks. His only evidence is what he saw on the television and he’s jumped in both feet first without taking a second to think.

I’m sorry to say it, but it is a shameful piece of journalism made all the worse by his attempts to justify it on social media.

The question is not the piece but how it got through .

Correct
Surely the Editor gave the nod,is this the case Stuart?

Seems the head of Muen wants to perpetrate the myth that we struggle to sell out where as the the theatre of Debt has thousands of empty seats every home game

Haha - of course - but I'm much better at it :)

See, this is what happens when you start calling Polytechnics Universities ....

The little cub reporter is obviously pretty wet behind the ears as well as he,s put a nice pic of himself alongside his gleaming article ...
When he's seriously irritating and getting under the skin of so many people that's not a wise move .
Especially if he is partial to a night out in town...
