I wish yesterday never happened, gutted beyond words but listening to BM after the game he said
"Always it happens to them, never to us", referring to the last minute goals.

An off the cuff remark which is true but is he not missing something huge by saying this?? & this to me is the difference between nearly sides & successful sides. The questions he should be asking to his team are:

1- Why did we switch off AGAIN in the last few minutes
2- Scholes had acres of space to head the ball, why was Ireland the nearest man?
3- We set up their goal by needlessly squandering possession.
4- Finally-Added time is for both sides, go for the win but ensure you don't loose.

Re: Mancini - "It never happens to us in the last minute"

as i said yesterday we were naive. we have been so since the day i walked in to maine road in 1965.

i like bob but my guess is if we had jose we would "grow uo" very quickly.

It's no coincidence they get late goals, they are more professional than us and don't make too many mistakes, that will come in time for us.

well i was happy with the managers response, it was there for all to see he was as gutted as us, hes doing his best with mostly hughes players, give him time to bring in his own players, this summer will be very interesting, we are still in with a shout for fourth

In added time our mistake is is to still be attack minded instead of defence and keeping that fecking little spherical thingymebob..

What puzzles me is even a draw at best wasn't a particularly great result for us. If we'd have got it we'd now be a point behind Spurs so it still really comes down to the game against them. He set his stall out v Liverpool not to lose and I thought it was exactly the same scenario yesterday so we might as well have had a fucking go at them from the off. It's supposed to be a rivalry and a heated derby game but yesterday was like playing chess, all powder puff tactics that ultimately gained us fuck all. We owed them from the previous two defeats earlier this season but you wouldn't have knew it watching our performance. Ageing players with a lack of pace and muscle upfront and we let them use the only weapon they have, space, time and a great eye for a pass. No closing down, no real threat in the tackle, sometimes I wonder is it only the fans who get up for these games and understand what they mean. We can slag Neville, Scholes, Giggs and Rooney off all day long but they have a desire to wear that shirt that goes way beyond the norm and thats why they are winners.

Why this sould happen to us ?
You just wasted another free football lesson from United Mr. Mancini.

And this means that we'll lose again in 97' (if the ref. favours them) or in 93' if we keep being gutless, clueless and loose.
(Why are we so afraid, i never saw more than 3 blue shirts in their box yesterday ... )

We play like kids; If we score we win but we don't know how to score if we have to win.

fixed that for you

Your right Mancini,it does,nt happen to us,because we dont throw men forward looking for a winner,we just put on more holding midfielders.

Sorry to say this but I think Mr. Mancini does not understand that you can not defend with the players you have at City, a 0-0 result, like you do when you play in Italy.
It happened before, but I don't think he got the message yet.
This will cost us, with 4th place looking further and further away after seeing how Spurs played vs. Chelsea.

It was his fault. He was clearly looking to keep a point and hoping to snatch a winner, thereby surrendering the initiative to United AGAIN. He did something very similar in the Carling Cup Semi, but got away with it on that occasion (actually he didn't get away with it did he as we lost that tie in the end). Would Mourinho have taken Johnson off for Vieira? Would he have taken Adebayor off? Would he have allowed Scholes the freedom of Eastlands? Doubt it very much.

Agree with all of that ........ although in point 2 , surely the main question , even before Scholes got the header in , is why wasn't Evra closed down?
