The notion that these players have never been a problem elsewhere is fanciful, and I suspect some of those criticising the way Mancini has dealt with it would laud Ferguson's similarly ruthless approach.
It's not so much the fact that Mancini is ruthless that bugs me, he can discard who he wants as far as I'm concerned, and as long as he keeps winning trophies his decisions will be vindicated. However, falling out with players whilst they are still on the payroll and picking up big wages, is not a good policy to follow. At best, buying clubs tend to take the piss because they know we have a disgruntled player on our hands who we're desperate to shift (Adebayor). At worst, we are deprived of the services of players who still have a contribution to make (Tevez). Certainly wouldn't want him replaced though........
