Fucking hope so, can't wait to see him
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has played down his dressing room row with star striker Carlos Tevez.
The Italian coach clashed with his fiery Argentine striker during the half-time interval of Sunday's 2-1 win over Newcastle.
Both men put the incident behind them in time for the start of the second half, but the issue continues to hang over Eastlands.
It is not the first time Mancini and Tevez have not seen eye to eye and there is a fear that the matter could soon come to a head with one party heading for the exit.
Mancini, though, has sought to clear the air by declaring that he has no issue with Tevez and is happy to see passion being displayed by his players.
Heated
"My encounter with Tevez? There has been a lot of nonsense written," the former Inter Milan boss told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"These things happen in our locker room as much as they do in any other. It is necessary and it is good when it happens.
"It was a heated confrontation but after that City won, so the wake-up call worked. Before returning to the field we had cleared it all up."
Meanwhile, Mancini has revealed that he hopes to have Mario Balotelli back in contention for a crunch clash with Arsenal.
The Italy international striker has been sidelined since picking up a knee injury on his debut in August - a problem which later required surgery.
Recovery
Initial reports suggested he was set to be unavailable until November, but Mancini is confident the 20-year-old will be back before then.
"It's time for him to return, and quickly," added the City coach.
"He's recovering well and I hope to have him back for the game against Arsenal on 24th October.
"Has it been a long recovery? No, it has been normal. It depends on the player, sometimes people come back early and sometimes later. I hope Mario is early.
"He had tests on his knee on Friday and again on Monday. It should be okay."
