Not sure if this has already been posted. Says he deployed wrong tactics in training and the match. Classy of him.

Fair enough he held his hands up, but admitting a mistake doesn't let him get away with it!

That was the worst performance of the season for me, and we can't afford any more like that. We are not even into squeaky bum time yet and we seem to be feeling it a bit which is worrying!

In saying that, it can quite easily turn around again at the weekend as we could regain a 3 point advantage come Sun 6pm....

Good management in so much as I'm sure he only said this to deflect the blame (and ergo the pressure) away from the players. Mourinho used to do it all the time. Mancini is fanatically intense in his preparation for games, and I don't doubt he knew exactly what lay in store last night. If he wants to genuinely take the blame though it should be for the assemblance of a squad that can only play one way, and which has no Plan B when faced with bus parking scufflers. No pace, no width, no drive, not a single player that can go past a man with the ball. We're good, but we're hopelessly easy to frustrate and we'll win fuck all until that changes

Good management coming out and saying that as it deflects the pressure off the players. However he also said he didn't prepare well enough in the MEN. Not sure if something has been lost in translation here, but if he admits not doing his job properly then frankly that isn't good enough. United were sure to win at home to Stoke and this was a very important game for us. People mess up, I get that, but we haven't been playing well for a over a month now IMO and he needs to make this clear to the players.

Watching that last night to be fair he looked absolutely done in.

I hope everything is OK with him.

It was going well until they mentioned fucking Tevez.

I think we all underestimated Everton last night, lesson learned.

How can anyone underestimate a team that generally beats us???

I like it. 1000% better to admit you made a mistake than to blame everyone/thing else. No hiding.

The fact he wont sleep is a good sign to. The guy wants to win an most of the time he gets it right.

He did the same thing last season when we got beat by Liverpool, you know when everybody threw a tantrum and started to cry because they thought we wouldn't make top four and what happened we finished 3rd and won the FA cup.

lets not forget though we were top around Xmas with a squad very capable of winning the league. It was only when we had our sticky patch that we blew any chance, then with pressure off us after we guaranteed 4th with a win over Spurs, we cheekily sneaked into 3rd (and almost 2nd outright)

I hope the sticky patch this time around doesn't last for as long as it did last season or I don't feel we will have as good a run at the end of the season as the goalposts have somewhat moved for this season!
