Read the first paragraph and thought fuck off back to Didsbury.

Is that far enough?

The truth is Dismal has almost as high an opinion of himself as Mancini does. Maybe that's why he dislikes him so intensely. He was on his case from day 1, mainly I fathomed because Roberto wasn't Jose, and so this rather bitter piece comes as no surprise.

While Mancini's future will be interesting so will Dismal's. Don't know if he is a frustrated journo or not, but his literary style is combatative and will surely need a new target sooner rather than later. Who? Well that remains to be seen.

He's far from being a journo but something he said to you in a previous thread stands out now - it's ok to have differences in opinion, I myself didn't agree Mancini needed to go but discussed it from both sides. That is a well written, articulate piece which you find reason to pour scorn on because it's Dave - there is no bigger man than him who can admit he was wrong, what battle is it you think your fighting ffs, he's a blue, you're a blue, each has there opinion but the common denominator is the same - it's become fucking tiresome this shit, put it to bed man!!!

Bit like someone asking me to do a piece on the tory party :)

Funny you should say that. I think Dismal is a true blue in more ways than one.

...and because its fun. You forgot the fun. Don't underestimate the fun. And it was shit. Shit and fun. There are two reasons why we pour scorn. Shit and fun. And pretentious. Yes Three reasons why we pour scorn...

...ah bollocks.

Before I bother to read it, can someone who has please tell me if it's really just a triumphalistic diatribe?

Oh you mean the "pick your enemies carefully" quote. Of course my view on the piece is coloured by the fact he wrote it. Unlike yourself he doesn't write well balanced argument. He has used every piece of news, true or just made up, to fuel his anti Mancini agenda. He has also done it in a rather condescending manner which is why so many find him irritating.

That said you are right, we all move on. I won't be having an anti Pellegrini agenda from day one just because I liked Bob. The man from Chile may well have more to offer in terms of tactics, man management etc. I think we are in for exciting times. Let's hope so.
