Mancini write-up by Didsbury Dave

The fact that 38 page thread can be created on talking about a particular poster or 2- not so much the article written- but the individual who wrote it, is unbelievable.

He's being knocked for being obsessed with Mancini (his faults)- yet most on here seem obsessed with him.

He's a person who writes on a forum. I wouldn't be surprised if the words 'dismal dave' were mentioned on here more than most of our players names, barring Dzeko, and Balotelli before he left.

If someone writes a bad book it's usually the author that gets slated. Besides that people have commented on the content - and apart from about 6 posters the rest of haven't found it to be a masterpiece of critical evaluation.

Nail hit firmly on the head mate.

They fucking love him and they know it!

Don't think so.

I reckon Ric is fuming he wasn't given the rights to publish Didsbury Daves work of art judging by the reaction on this thread!

DD has peddled this shit, constantly for the last 3 and a half years & now is crowing that he was right all along.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Was just thinking of that expression. Bearing in mind that the average life span of a manager is less than 3 years it was inevitable that in the end DD would be right. And to claim that Mansour came round to his way of thinking is stretching it a bit.

This is a brilliant read for me. I was never a fan of Mancini's and never made that a secret on here. I always questioned his man management skills (or lack of them) and his body language. I was slated for saying he never smiles. It was plain to me that he was an absolute shocking motivator. It was obvious to me, but I didn't know the ins and outs of it. Now I do.
Never slagged the man, but am so glad he's gone. This is why I repeatedly say, (with a huge smile) "the future is lookin brill".

Cheers for this. Absolute quality.

Mancini never smiles? he was laughing his head off during the 6-1.
i bet you were too.
bet you enjoyed the recent 2-1 win at the swamp?
and the even more recent semi-final win-bet you were smiling your head off after that match.not a bad result for "an absolute shocking motivator"

The whole "inner" and "outer" debate that goes on on here is tiresome as it's more about who was "right" as opposed to the merits of the arguement. When in fact the "outer" will always be able to say they were right as eventually the manager will leave or be sacked. I could take the stance now saying that Pellegrini is not the right man for us and I want him out, he could win the league next year, but not win the CL and then go on the be sacked in one of the next few seasons after that and i'd be proved right because we sacked him or he left.

I personally feel it was time we moved on from Mancini purely from looking at how we were playing on the field, but not only that he seems to have burnt a lot of bridges within the club and that has cost him his job. I doens't make him a bad manager and it proves that in us sticking with him after the 09/10 campaign was the correct decision as we went on to win the F.A cup and the title in the next 2 seasons.

Yeah, kind of does my head in as well. Is a Hughes "outer", a Mancini "inner"? Who are the Mancini "outers" and what happened to the beloved Hughes' "inners"? Is a Mancini "outer" a Pellegrini "inner"?
