Mancini's selection and tactics

If i was to bump into Mancini, i would not hesitate to simply say 'drop the 3-5-2'.

It's a fucking shambles, failed on 5 occasions now. I'm getting a little bit sick of it, why he took Lescott off, i'll never fucking know.

His tactics sunday left me baffled, tonight he's done it again.

If it's not broke don't fix it. Tinkering with the team, it's not working.

it worked okay towards the end of last season albeit with richards coming in, we are playing badly at the moment probably for a variety of reasons it happens

apart from everton who lost tonight i havent really been impressed with any team in particular yet so far this season

much too early for any panic imho

We have just played Real Madrid then Arsenal on the sunday. We played 48 hours later, and then go to Fulham before playing Dortmund. Of course there must be changes. That creates problems. Combined with injuries it was too much for us. We did not have an alternative tonight but to pick the team we did

Tactics in other games is a different matter - I think it's easy to blame new tactics for poor form. There are other reasons eg Injuries to Aguero, Nasri and poor form from Silva to name a couple.

Nope,am sick to death of his inept tactics now, standing on touchline ruffling his hair every 5 mins, have you noticed he is getting greyer by the way....the pressure is immense,he be gone by Xmas I reckon, but not neccessarily pushed if you get my drift

Strong feeling he is losing the dressing room day by day

Yes. He is losing the dressing room. I think Mourinho wil lcome in Jan.

Jesus. you guys have great loyalty to the manager who has won us our first 2 trophies in a generation.

Could have been more for sure...

He still has a chance to make everything right, but I just don't see it happening.

Yes, yes yes I'm all for Mourinho, surely the special one is nailed on!!!

Now eight points clear of Barça at the top of the La Liga table after just five games this season.... Oh wait, that doesn't sounds right!!!

Oh well, he will be sacked by Xmas anyway, we may have a chance..

I think Mourinho was right about how we won't win the Champion's League with Mancini as much as I like him.. I think we need to go for the best Mourinho or Guardiola both available with Mourinho making noises he wants to come back to The Prem. Mancini has done a fantastic job but hes probably took us as far as he can we need something different now business is ruthless.

Has been a disappointing start, loos like team looses concentration in certain periods of the game. We have been in front 5 times over the last 3 matches and we were unable to win one. Mancini subs against Arsenal were atrocious and today he didn't have a brilliant game either. Anyway, is to premature to talk about Mourinho in my opinion, most people was proud about the performance in Madrid and against Arsenal the score would be different if the ref called the penalty over Kun. This is the one hard to digest because is irreversible and totally unexpected.

I've heard Kean is about to get the sack from the chicken farmers. Maybe its time for a swap...?

(On a serious note, though. If shit doesn't turn around relatively fast someone is going to pull away from us fast. If City drop out of the CL in the group stage again, and can't win the league, I see Mancini having an incident similar to that of when he left Inter)

Threads like this are why it should be blues only on this part of the website!!!
So you cant question the managers decisions and tactics which have been fucking baffling this season?

Samuel Johnson once opined that "patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel..." Posters like Scotty76 aren't fans, they are sycophants, too intellectually lazy to engage in serious discussion of relevant issues, so they dismiss those who do not agree with them with a careless wave of the hand and the inevitable proclamation that the other bloke isn't really one of us.

No supporter nor RM could be happy with our recent performances or our results to date.

He is paid well to ensure we match the expectation we and the board have and he knows full well what will happen to him if he comes up short.

We shall soon find out if our players are resting on last years success.

The other 19 premiership sides don't give a toss about our past results and neither should our players now.

Fulham will think we are right for the taking now.

Lets prove them wrong on Saturday.

I am getting a little annoyed at some posters saying Mancini made 'weird' decisions. They're not 'weird', they're wrong as they didn't work and just say so. If he is wrong say it as it is the truth and it would take an idiot to call you a rag.

But it is too early to call for him to be sacked, come on guys! Give him this year and if we are mid table THEN sack him.
