its hard to look at the bigger picture when we're not playing well and getting beat, but thats his job

he's obviously convinced that only being able to play 1 system will eventually catch up with you, especially in the champions league

so he's willing to sacrifice short term pain as players adapt to new things he is asking of them

it reminds me of the early days under his management, flashes of promise but no real cohesion

he got there in the end and he's earned my trust to get there again, not happy clapping, just trusting him

This forum was hilarious and ridiculous during summer.

The self-deception brigade were out in full. We have not recruited as well as we should have and some were advocating this ridiculous 3 at the back system.

I said it then and I'll say it again now. Teams don't win the english premier league playing 3 at the back and never have. Powder puff system which lacks stability and organisation. You wont see Utd fannying around with different defensive systems this season. We need to get back to basics of a solid back four and sort out our central midfield.

Basically, Bobby needs to stop whinging like a little boy about managers "ganging up on him", how pathetic. He needs to concentrate and getting his finger out and sorting out the team who all appear to be in a complete daze as to what on earth is going on. The defence is a f*king shambles and the midfield is all over the place with no desire to play with momentum and pace at all.

I have read the feedback from people who went last night and although I could hardly give a toss about being out of the Capital One Cup it sounds like a real shambles. no one giving orders at half time in extra time, no passion, nothing, I feel sorry for the hardy souls who turned out last night who all deserved much better, for the champions of England last night should be a wake up call to all and sundry connected with the club.

Bobby has got to stop messing about with the tactics and formation, why has he changed a winning formation? 3-5-2 does NOT work FFS! 4-4-2 is hardly any better.

Also, why on earth play tevez for 120 mins last night? he "rests" him for Arsenal, one of our title challengers, then plays him in thaty dog shit game last night. We have a hard game sunday and and an even harder must win game on Weds, Bobby's decisions sometimes mystify me!

I would never say get Bobby out because that is ridiculous, its the manner of the defeat last night and not going out the cup thats a concern. 4 goals at home to a Villa side who got slapped by Southampton in just pathetic. We can all blame the keeper but it sounded like they deserved it.

Come on bobby, get back to the 4-2-3-1 that worked so well last season and for gods sake keep Ya Ya in a forward position where anyone knows he is most potent.
