Or more specifically their album Gold Against The Soul.

Viciously underrated record. Absolutely bursting with brilliant songs.

Think this one is my favourite. Anymore Manics lovers on the forum these days?

Not a fan of 'Gold Against The Soul' really - 'Generation Terrorists' was superb, as was 'The Holy Bible', but for me personally the band died the day Richey Edwards hurled himself off a motorway bridge.
That's the general consensus of the hardcore. Personally I think Everything Must Go and This is My Truth... were both creative triumphs.

Edwards although integral to the Manics "look" and lyrics, wasn't really a musical force. James Dean Bradfield never gets the credit he deserves for being such a great songwriter and guitarist.

Got talking to James Dean Bradfield on a Saturday afternoon in St Anne's square some years back, well I say got talking, more like interrupting him eating his McDonalds lunch, nice fella, very small hands.

Generation Terrorists, Gold Against The Soul. Great albums.

Got to say my favorite is Journal For Plague Lovers.

Everything Must Go was the first album I ever bought (at the age of ten), so I'll always have a soft spot for that LP at least. Can't say I really listen to them much these days though.
