How is Manneh Manchester ?

The sign is on a building near the swamp, so what ?
Manny I'd accept as a slang version but not Manneh.
 
I call town, town. But, if anyone asks where I come from, I say Newton Heath. I don't say Manchester or Manneh.
I think anyone who actually come from Manchester will say the which parish they come from and refer to the City Centre as town.
 
I think it's brilliant. Their constant failure to understand the joke, their obsession with repeatedly going back to it. It's under their skin, and they don't even understand why.

Never heard it called Manneh on my life. Asked the wife who was born and raised a stone's throw from the city centre, and she has only heard it once several years ago from a cockney, and agrees that using that term is the joint-fastest way to out yourself as a wrong un, alongside living your life as a Jimmy Saville impersonator.

Jimmy Saville probably called it Manneh when he was djing here.
 
I can confirm a singer/rapper from Moston called “Aitch” says this.
I watched an interview with him (with my niece) where a guy was asking him if he knew mancunian slang words.

Half way through he finds out the guy interviewing him is from Manchester and says “nah, your from Manny, sick”

Think it may be the younger ones that call it Manny/Manneh!
Same muppets who say “Bro” to everyone

it is the dact our accent makes y sound like eh, much like er as int water sounds like watoh in our dialect.

so the dicks think changing manmy to manneh is a manc thing.


Manny is a term only used by twats normally from outside the boundries in the greater manchester area or young people who know no better.

niether Manny or this thick excuse of a billboard is acceptable.
