Manuel Pellegrini (cont)

Once again baffled by the comments by one or two. Nothing Pellegrini did last night was particularly out of the ordinary. Zaba, Vinny and Clichy for different reasons needed a break. Bony needed a start. Same with Navas. Thought the team was pretty self explanatory, as was the result if not the performance.

Continues to amaze me how this side can play within themselves and yet still carve the opposition open so many times nobody would have batted an eyelid had we scored six or seven goals.

I think the one thing which Pellegrini has shown since the criticism of him began is that he isn't for bending or changing, and as importantly, it's patently obvious he has the support of the players and the board of directors. Good on him.

There seems to be something going on in the background at City, or so it appears.

Baffling squad selection last night as many have said, Navas out Navas in, Ditto Fernandinho & Nasri

And the biggest one for me is Kolorov over Clichy- i will never ever understand how that lazy cigar smoking shit pulls on a blue shirt ever regardless of who we are playing.

Its not having a dig at Manuel here but what the fuck is he doing?

You best steer clear of the "Dressing room unrest" thread then.. :)

So baffling selections yet you're not having a go at Pellegrini?

We won 2-0, his selections are fully justified.

There's ITK then there's that thread. I'm sticking with the ITK's and leaving the knee jerk speculators to their knee jerk speculation. :)

More than good enough to beat Leicester and it was.

You honestly had no reservations last night before the game?

Fair do's if you didn't then mate.

As MA has said its blatantly obvious with his selection and pre match press conference that he has the full backing of the powers that be, that's good enough for me, I'm just waiting now to see who we sign in the summer as that's the most important window the club has had in years, in the meantime I will still keep shouting myself hoarse at the game.

Pellergrini is being let down by his midfield at the moment and its the biggest weak link we have. Going forward they are fantastic but defensively, almost to a man they are going missing and when teams park the bus and break at us, just look at our defence having to face a quick break almost on their own with more often than not, us sat on the edge of our box and the midfielders are not even in sight. For me if thats the way we are going to play then its a case of getting the players in that will do their jobs correctly and its something i think is going to happen.

Just on AK. teams parking the bus like last night at home dont need Clichy who is a far better defender. They need someone like AK who can get forward and whip his crosses in and thats what we normally see selection wise.

Just want us to look a bit more organised without the ball.. Players run at us and by pass our midfield quite easily...
