Manuel Pellegrini

His previous managerial spells outside the UK had generally been good particularly with smaller clubs.
I thought he came over well . In his last season here when we really underperformed in the league we had horrendous injury problems . Mainly got his tactics right in Europe when we did well under him. Personally I think he was a pretty decent manager, perhaps not the very best but it's always difficult to sort out when it is the players fault when it's the managers and when it's just bad luck.
But if I was a fan of another club I would rather have him than any of our other managers in the last 10-15 years except Mancini (And obviously the current incumbent)

Don't think he is a bad manager, but at the same time, don't think he was very good for us, despite the trophies, which i give him credit for of course. Harsh to say, but i think we won them somewhat in spite of his managing.

Any manager who got that city side to a champions
League semi final AND won a domestic trophy, all whilst remaining true to his principles, and after being very publicly sacked can ONLY be described as a great great manager.

And that’s before mentioning his double in his first season.

Great manager, superb professional, and an honourable gentleman who was shamefully and disgustingly abused by so many on here.

A limp dick semi final performance. Hugely disappointing.

And unfortunately sticking to those principles is what hurt us the most in the end. His inability to react.

Statistically a great manager for us but it ends there, imo.

Always seemed a genuinely nice bloke, but if he gets the Leicester job I hope he takes the fkrs and their stupid clappers back down where they belong

Agreed. I would have probably only had him down as a great manager but getting that draw in his last match at Swansea, there by getting us up to 66 points and securing 4th place on goal difference definitely elevated him up to being a great great manager and he can only be described as that, nothing else. He's possibly up there with Clough, Pep and Paisley but then they could be great great great managers, I'm not sure. It's an interesting debate to have anyway, Sky should have a poll on it.

He is a gentleman, I would love to see him back in the league. Contrast him with the usual merry go round of ex Rags and regularly sacked familiar faces that get recycled.

Nice bloke, bang average manager. Well suited to a club like Leicester.
