Marc Guehi | City strong contenders for transfer this month (p60)

Not my money so I’m not too worried but with the rumors that every top club is in for him on a free in the summer, assume his camp will try to negotiate for higher wages if he’s to move on in January and miss out on a larger signing on fee, yeah?

Is he a non violent person and a freedom fighter with a round glass and a pair of sandals?

Looking at it he’s not being used at Nice. Shame he didn’t stay at Lens considering how they are doing

Makes sense for Barca and the player
He’s actually played quite a few games at Nice, but his form is typically up and down, which is par for the course with young players. Nice tend to take him out of the firing line when things go awry, three straight defeats recently , but there are strong defensive attributes there, which is why we signed him and why others now reportedly want him.

Not sure but can’t see us telling him he’d be vice captain so guess it’s someone just guessing shit.

We have a leadership group which the players decide apart from last year which Pep decided Bernie was captain because of the abysmal season previously.

And the abysmal behavior of the voted captain ?

I think from a Palace POV, securing Ake for Guehi would be a piece of solid short term business. Makes a lot of sense, however 30/35 mil for a player with 6 months left is a bit naff.

Not for a player of his ability and profile, whose open market value would be double that.

£35 million over the length of his career at City will be seen as chicken feed.

Be pragmatic City & take him off the market tomorrow !!

how reliable is this?

Based on it says 'including Ake in a deal' which is as good as never happens.....and telling someone they will be vice Captain, when they aren't even one of the best CB's at the club.......it's not, but you should already know that 99% of media is either made up, copied, or usually both....the other 1% is a best guess.

Probably BS, but it would be great to get one over the coach wreckers and their cult fan base.
I think presently a deal structured like this is the only way tbf he was almost in the door at Anfield and being free in the Summer will ensure numerous clubs are in for him

We would only be giving that Guehi in signing on bonus anyway.

Someone gets a transfer fee regardless, whether it's the club or player.

No player is ever "free" when out of contract.

Ake was so good in our treble season and has the highest level of potential so will be disappointing to see him go, but ultimately Guehi is way more reliable, consistent and less injury-prone. Significant improvement without much cost

If this px deal transpires it will make sporting, economic & financial sense.

Get it done tomorrow City & take him off the market !!

The only positive Guehi has over Ake, is not being injury prone......Ake is a much better player.
