No think this is just a reaction to the potential of Akanji AND Ake leaving where the reality is it will probably just be Akanji that goes and we won’t need another in.

Not that arsed about Guehi as a player but we do need to make sure we have some athleticism in our back line, and one of Gvardiol, Khusanov or Nunes (if we don’t get a new RB) has to play.

We have signed Khusanov, Bah and Reis. Dias has renewed his contract and unless we lose 2 CHs this week I cannot see another central defender being recruited. If we have an injury crisis we can recall Reis from Girona

Exactly, countless times over the years, players who "had" to move this summer end up just staying, often signing a new deal or being sold in January.
