Obviously you’ve never worked with youngsters who live in dire circumstances? Like most on here I have no time for the rags but I also believe in giving credit where it’s due.
You bury your head in the sand and make fun of/get annoyed with fellow Blues but Marcus has done a good job.
Not sure if giving him an honour for it so quickly is right or wrong but if it keeps the plight of these youngsters in the public eye fair enough. JMHO

Have to agree, there is s lady around here ( she isnt a well lady ) but she has been doing this for years. Runs local food banks and now has somehow got the local council etc to support her in running a cheap shop for the needy. She also runs soup kitchens, and also does workshops to show how to make and cook food for people who dont know.
I am sure lots of our communities have people like this who run these type of things for no thanks from the 'top'.
During this covid19 pandemic our work changed to from doing local council work to keeping the local food banks stocked with doing over 200 miles a day to our local food share bank to deliver to our local food banks. I have met some amazing people from all walks of lives who do this work day in day out for no financial gain. All of them unsung heroes.

Yes it's great he has highlighted food share etc but an MBE when thousands do more unpaid each day ?

Well done Marcus, comes across very genuine. My job keeps me in touch with families who live on the edge, the UK, one of richest nations in world has never had so many food banks and charities feeding children in genuine poverty. Makes a change from headlines on over paid footballers having parties and breaking covid!

Personally think if he had turned it down by saying there are lots of people doing this day in day for, some putting their own health and finances at risk are more deserving than me. I think that would have put out a stronger message.
