Refereed the blue dipper friendly last night, good to see him back.

He was a decent enough ref in my eyes and wasnt one of the "look at me brigade"

I was fortunate enough to meet Mark when I was on holiday in the same hotel as his family a few years ago.

He is an absolutely lovely guy, extremely passionate about the game and he has kept in touch ever since. Not only that but he is one of the best ref's the English game has had in a long time.

On the flipside I've also had the dis-pleasure of meeting Phil Dowd when the company I was working for repaired his car after an accident - what an attention seeking pr!ck!!!!!!!!!

He came to our City Legends night this year. One question was "where did you get those 7 minutes from?"

His reply "well I'm City till I die aren't I?"

It'll be nice to see him back in the game.
