The immortal words of our chief exec.

The problem for me is he seems to have no idea what failure looks like. And make no mistake with the addition of 10 players and shedloads of money spent we have managed to finish just above Stoke City. No disrepect intended to them.

Failure in anyones eyes.

definatly in my eyes

its always troubled me that comment - when as a manager has MArk Hughes been successful?

I shall give the answer: HE HASN'T ACHIEVED SUCCESS AS A MANAGER, yet. There was a time when Ferguson was singularly unsuccessful, the same for Wenger, Hiddink, et al. The most successful manager of all time, whoever, had a period in their managerial career when they had won nowt. Hughes is following a well-worn path to success.

Thanks for that. I needed a laugh. Although I suspect Hughes will continue to emulate the true greats of the game with his unique approach to success namely winning f**k all. Oh what the hell we'll give him a cup or two. Even that twat Souness managed a Carling Cup along the way

I expected Hughes to have atleast won the Champions League with Blackburn and maybe the World Cup with Wales. Ah well...

I've been asking the same question for ages, you won't get an answer I'm afraid, just abused and told we need stability.

Mid table is a stable as it gets. take no notice PistonBlue.
