Fair enough - though even then I'm not sure many expected his decline to be quite so precipitous as it has been.

amended bud.You were right and within your rights to say it when the fucker took us backwards in 08/09 despite having a stronger squad with more time to gel than SVG. It was beyond all argument by the time we sacked him the season after and only the deranged would have thought different after seeing the difference Mancini made in his first 6 hours. Nothing has changed since.

If I'm honest about it, I don't think at that time I'd have been in the busted flush camp. I am somewhat surprised how poorly he's done recently.

I don’t agree with you on Barry, Given and Lescott, because they were all superb for us, and to a certain extent Bellamy. He also brought in Vinnie and Zaba, but the others, I’m 100% behind you.
They were great, but my point is he could have bought literally ANYONE at the time and this was the range of his expertise. As I said, I'm near certain Vinny and Zab were done prior to Sven going and only the money held them up, but again Sparky managed to get credit..more luck for him!
