Mark Hughes sacked

If I'm honest about it, I don't think at that time I'd have been in the busted flush camp. I am somewhat surprised how poorly he's done recently.
I was firmly in it but then I've always thought the two fluke years with Inter and Porto have seen him overrated.

Before his appointment Hughes said of himself "Everyone knows I'm a competent manager, now I hope to prove I can be a great manager".
If his brains were gunpowder it wouldn't blow his hat off!

Not as surprising as him getting the job in the first place.

First PL manager to be sacked twice in the same calendar year.

Understandable given he was a former saints player but he must be done for now as a top flight manager. That said the pool of 'top flight' managers seems to get smaller and smaller going of the names the papers drop with every vacancy. I hope they have a bit of vision and are willing to take a bit of a risk otherwise might as well get big Sam in!

Mark Hughes isn't bothered about football, he's all about his contract pay off when he gets sacked, I wonder which stupid club will next take a chance on this chancer.

To be fair to Southampton, they 'found' Pochettino and Koeman wasn't bad there either. If they hadn't have sold all their players to Liverpool they could be in the top half of the league.

Have to admit, Colin is doing rather well there. That's a poor team.
Can't see it making a difference if they're in the relegation zone at Christmas. The only club I can see sticking with the coach in situ regardless of league position are huddersfield.

Nope, I agree you'd think they were nailed on to go down. Hence why being out of the relegation zone at all is a pretty decent effort.

Looks like they might have learnt their lesson.
Hashanuttl(sp) ex RB Leipzig boss is favourite.

A good pedigree, a history of decent progression with clubs and attractive football.
