There's talk of Allardyce getting the job. Southampton used to have a bit of imagination and ambition when it came to appointments, Pochettino, and Koeman were masterstrokes, but since Pellegrino, they seem to have lost their nerve, and now look at the proverbial "safe hands" merry go round managers, who, in the case of Hughes, are anything but safe. It's a shame for them, they've gone from being a club pushing for Europe, to one content just to survive, and have the PL money coming in, a bit like Newcastle.
