Mark Hughes sacked

... snd Pailo Sousa was indeed in the stand for Saturdday's late kick off. If he gets appointed I wonder if Southampton will get slaughtered in the press for something that actually happend rather than something that didn't at City?

There's talk of Allardyce getting the job. Southampton used to have a bit of imagination and ambition when it came to appointments, Pochettino, and Koeman were masterstrokes, but since Pellegrino, they seem to have lost their nerve, and now look at the proverbial "safe hands" merry go round managers, who, in the case of Hughes, are anything but safe. It's a shame for them, they've gone from being a club pushing for Europe, to one content just to survive, and have the PL money coming in, a bit like Newcastle.

My brother in law is a saints season ticket holder. Currently jumping around like it's 1976 Cup final. He said that it's constantly gone down hill since the owner died and his daughter and chinese took other. He doesn't like the chairman who was an ice hockey coach before he took the job at Southampton.

Irrespective of managerial choices, constantly flogging off your best players and not replacing them is a one way ticket down the table.
