Breaking news - something almost insignificant that you (plural) don't find at all upsetting or even really care for, has been removed from an ad in case someone might find it insensitive at a very delicate and highly unfortunate time. And now many are upset. We bring you more from this unfolding story.

In my opinion, yes. Some people just live to be offended. Serious question; who could take serious offence at that ad? Even the most staunch pro-Israeli person (without the "issue" being pointed out to them) surely wouldn't be upset at such an ad.
