David Ginola and Fabian Barthez aren't amateurs, they should have beaten the Marseille first team even with just Evra playing on his own.

Even the Prince of Monaco was sat on the bench taking the place of United's number 2 and he's got grade 3 piano.

Amsterdam on Wednesday (VDS testimonial), Old Trafford on Friday (Scholes testimonial) and London on Sunday

Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney are in the squad for the VDS match. Obviously not huge strains but they will be playing a match before our game.

Ji-sung Park, Patrice Evra, Paul Pogba, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley played today. Not sure how long each.

United losing is always funny, and an 8-2 battering, in any circumstances, will raise a smile. However, it was far from a full strength team so I don't you can read anything into this.

No doubt Fergie was far from impressed though, despite how he attempted to portray it.
