But we don't know the reasons for allowing , your thinking , this to happen.

I don't believe the club to be reactive in their approach/ planning ,so I believe they were thinking in a non-obvious way..

Which is why both you and I are only speculating due to
our lack of inside knowledge or certainty.

Of course you could be a management insider ?

There are many of these type of posts, where posters speculate on why things have happened/ not happened as they see should have happened.

Do you think the management are incompetent, disinterested, complacent regarding the team performances ?

Or do you ever question why decisions have / have not taken place ?

City management are not like the rags where sensible or informed decisions are as rare as rocking horse shit .

So even though recent signings may not meet your approval of expectations, there is possibly a very good reason for them.

Just a thought .

IN THE CASE OF BOOTS VS BOOTS:

A lot of this speculation has been driven by an unforeseen circumstance of 2 of the best midfielders to have ever played in the premier league being long term injured.

If they weren't injured there would be no discussion to have.
Not true, midfield was a weak area for us even with Rodri the finest midfielder in the world.

KDB had moments of brilliance but is a fading force and has constant injuries. Bernardo, nobody can ever fault this guys desire or effort but he has looked a shadow of a once magnificent player.

Gundo has come back and looked his age and sadly I can't see him getting anywhere near his previous form.

We have needed a refresh in midfield for some time and now with Rodri's injury that refresh is desperate and urgent.

As I said mate without the injuries we wouldn't be having this discussion, or at least the discussion about targets that will cost that amount of money.

We are constantly linked with everyone and anyone, it's fantasy football. On a general not when is our academy going to produce either a finished article we can use before we flog them loan them out or leave them on the bench until they ask for a move?

Not paying the extra £10m for Bruno G has seriously back fired. .

Not sure what we valued him at but we could have done with him at this time.

Seemingly we had a top price of £90m but went in at £80m as Newcastle needed to sell but then they sold Anderson at a really high price to Forest (i think) and then they didnt have to sell and we missed out.

We never seemed to really be serious about Bruno and to be fair so far this season he's been poor for both Newcastle and Brazil.
