Martin Samuel article on CFG and plans for world domination

I had just this very minute read this article. As you say the future's looking bright.... Contrasts somewhat with the shit Savage has spouted in the Mirror which is in another thread.

I wonder if Cook might ever return. I wonder if just the passage of enough time will erase the email disgrace.

Had a read of this at 5am this morning, a pretty fair article. Not many of them around this week building upto today.

It's funny how quickly NYC have gone from being a meme of a club to getting 27k a week in the stadium watching them and being top of the league.

The timing of this article could be interesting on the one hand it could be a pre derby thing but on the other its a bit dry and factually for that. Was thread about new CFG club recently no transfer window to distract the media if we made an announcement soon still not used that China money yet

I certainly hope not. For all the criticism aimed at Tixiki and Soriano they have not publicly embarrassed the club like Cook did consistently. He was probably a nice bloke and arguably did some great work (especially if the article is correct regarding the CFG), but he was a liability and wanted to take centre stage too often. Personally I'm very happy with the quietly dignified manner of the club hierarchy and hope it continues like that.

Interesting article though and shows just how far the club has come in a short space of time. It's very encouraging as to where we may be in another 10 years etc.

I love this quote from Soriano - 'So we had to do things differently, and hope they don't notice us.' Made me think about the crap this week from people like Savage and Schmeichal, thats exactly what they are doing. They still don't see it, and even if they do they are burying their heads in the sand. We have that open water and and wind and there is nothing they can do to stop us now.

In the article Samuel says that if Melbourne represent 10% of CFG they are worth £25m. Surely that should be £250m?
