Cavani just scored yet again... 3 shots, 1 goal, he doesn't need many chances.

Napoli playing 3-5-1-1, not too dissimilar to us.

Where as Edin needs what 4 or 5. Hence my argument that Edin is not the player we need at this level. True he score dimportant goals for which I and every blue will be eternally grateful but Cavani for Edin is an upgrade in my eyes.
Same as the RVP situation.

if Cavani came, it wouldn't be cavani for Dzeko, it would be Cavani for Tevez or Aguero, because it's Tevez and Aguero that's our favoured partnership.

It's almost 100% certain that we will not be buying a striker because it would mean selling a striker, and it would not improve us. Aguero and Tevez are the best you can find. We went through this with RVP and we did not bid, so why change our minds now? We're not going to

I think we'll be a looking at a wide forward and a defensive player.

correct. good post.

still like cavani mind :)

I would too. But realistically it's unlikely and if we have £30 Million to spend I'd prefer it going elsewhere

If you look at this guy's timeline on Twitter he was saying that Cavani was a done deal last week. Bit of a coincidence that his brother flies him out there. He also says the info was that there was a B Marwood on the passenger list. Bert probably. Typical Twitter bullshitter.

Im not saying I believe !! To be honest with some of the shit posted on here on a daily basis i would say very unlikely !!

Do BA pilots go around like cab drivers? "guess who I had in the back today".

Nah...they wait for First Class passengers to say "Have you been busy??" "What time do you finish??"

Ian Cheeseman saw Marwood at Anfield
@iancheeseman
Brian Marwood was at Anfield today, I reckon two plus Sinclair and two out, but just my guess

If we are playing two strikers, once CL starts we will need two top strikers for those games and two more for the prem league. That is why IMO it is so important to have four capable strikers. We have just lost Aguero for four weeks, Balaotelli last year spent a lot of games on the sidelines through suspension. Dzeko needs a lot of games and confidence. I am content with what we have so far, but if the club want Cavani and can get him unfortunately the weakest link must go. Balotelli is not the weakest link and neither is Tevez. It is just the way life is sometimes.

If Cavani comes in then either Edin or Mario makes way and Mancini won't be selling Mario any time soon
