What are you growing in your garden/ allotment this year?
This year I've grown rhubarb, strawberries, potatoes, carrots, marrows, courgettes, cucumbers, crown prince squash, peas, runner beans, broad beans, radish, beetroot, lettuce, rocket, spinach, mint, coriander, parsley and basil. Nothing exotic but things that do tend to grow well in UK weather.
Last year I ended up with so many courgettes in mid summer, 2 ripe courgettes a day, so was running out of ideas to cook them by end of summer.
My mate said he had similar results with cucumbers so I've added to my growing list this year.
Any particular successes or unexpected bumper crops to share?
