Mary, Mary, quite contrary. How does your garden grow?

That's an impressive list of veg there pal. Just wondering what you do with a marrow though, fuck it?
Bone or vegetable?
Try this for the latter Moussaka Stuffed Marrow Recipe - Great British Chefs and this Bulalo Recipe (panlasangpinoy.com) for the former

I tend to chop horizontally and carve out the inner seeds then you have like two hollow canoes.
Poke holes in the flesh then cover it with herbs and spices, after about 40 minutes in oven add breadcrumbs and finally melt cheese over the top.

Potatoes carrots peas courgettes tomatoes green beans onions! Had first crop of spuds this week very tasty! Oh carrots in plant pots is the way to go grows far better than in the ground!
my neighbour used to seive the soil before filling a pipe/tube. with it and then planted the carrots in it. Kept the dreaded carrot fly away as well. They looked artificial being so smooth and round. My two rows of courgettes started really well, then wilted, I lifted one and the roots had vanished ...time to ditch the wellies and gloves.

Hold on a mo...

I'm going to quote you from another thread...

"
Going to try and do a weekly or every ten day Home delivery and just shop local for milk, bread and fresh fruit and veg.
Ideally £40 to £50 for the online shop so no delivery charges."

Pay particular attention to the bold bit. Which is it young fella me lad? Do you shop or grow?

Both matey, garden not big enough to grow apples and pears and not hot enough for mangoes and nanas.

The idea is to supplement my food bills with home grown though

Mangoes? And you want to save money? Why not go the whole hog and get Kumquats, Sharon fruit and Avocados?
mangoes are 74p at Tesco, fairly reasonable that and my kids love them so I doubt I could stop buying them without complaints.

I have four ‘plants’ I grow on my solarium which I trim every 8 weeks..
