I've thought this given recent events.

It's as clear as day that different clubs are treated differently when it comes to issuing red and yellow cards within a match, they are treated differently when it comes to retrospective incidents, they are treated differently by refs within a game re fouls, talking-to, number of times a player escapes a yellow card. It is not a case of inconsistency on the part of the ref, or just plain incompetency when they bottle a decision. We seem to have a greater percentage of possession and in the bit of time we don't have the ball we commit the lion's share of fouls. Our tackles are being treated more often by refs as fouls, and more often than not our fouls come with a booking! More often than other teams I could mention.

Worst thing for the PL in foreign markets is if they aren't in contention not even midway through the season.I've thought this given recent events.

They need them at least in touching distance and you're right, that PL may not be able to engineer wins but they can influence 5-10 points a season through fixture planning and pressurising FA with application of retrospective reds and with referee selection.
Having a runaway leader or even a top two isn't as bad as a runaway top 4 or 5 without them being in the picture.

Just watched Chelsea grinding out another win. Peg must be raging with those players; they basically hung him out to dry last season. Not that I'll shed too many tears for that twat.

I see Vardy got sent off for a two footed challenge. He needs to transfer to United to get away with those.
