I’d like to see us go to more of a 4 4 2 formation. We need to shore up the midfield and cut off Villa’s supply line to their front two.

i think Stones should play deeper, in front of the back 4 with Bernie, Lewis and Kovacic making up the rest of midfield. With Foden and Haaland up front we still have lots of firepower.

apart from the odd game we’ve been poor this season so far.
A poor summer recruitment hasn’t helped.
Possibly the worst half from us I’ve seen in years. Really hope our bubble hasnt burst.

Think Phillips is far too slow in both mind and body to get even a minute of action. It would be worse with him, as hard as that is to imagine.

He's a specialist DM who did well for Leeds and England, I just don't get Pep sometimes.
