Granted, but Laporte is still well enough for the bench and Stones is just more fundamental to how we play than anything Vinny can offer.

I agree with Karen 100% if I'm being honest. Long-term, I'd hope Stones and Laporte would form an unbeatable partnership but right now, we have a CL knock out stage match and we must keep the ball out of our net as much as we possibly can. Stones started the season in imperious form but sone thing hasn't been right with him since after the injury. I'd rather start him in games like Cardiff to get him up to speed and from then on he can be in conversations about who starts. Surely you don't have as much a risk appetite as Pep?
