Story of our season really, lots of possession without much bite and then a goal from a mistake. No focal point.
He contributed to three of our best attacking moments and defending as a whole solidly.His whole half was bad, that was just the worst of a litany of mistakes.
And made one colossal and idiotic error.

Some of you are being overly harsh on Mendy as a whole.
The error was woeful nonetheless.
He's played very well on the whole and just had a communication breakdown with Gundogan, pretty much the kind of stupid error youd expect after 3 months off.
It doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things, he'll be judged at the end of the season by Pep & co. with regards to being good enough to be the LB.

I know pep doesn’t coach the tackles but having two players who can’t/won’t make tackles, on the halfway at corners & set pieces is madness, not even sure we have the answer to that barring a Ferna & KW double act

At least Rodri does try and make a forward pass unlike Gundo.Rodri I’m giving time, he can’t be played with gundogan. It’s pointless. TheY both sit behind the ball and we end with endless halfway line possession.
