My thought too.
It’s to help the underdog find an equaliser against the better teams…but you can bet on balance, when those teams are against city it will be misapplied/disproportionat.

People complaining that the referee is actually tracking the time now when we've been complaining about them not doing it properly for years. People clearly just want whatever benefits their team at the time rather than what's fair.

I hope we keep seeing it, we just have to be the better team over the entire allotted time. Simple as that.
