Cracking first half. Two of Europe's top teams. Can understand resting Milner tonight but his industry will be crucial when he comes on in the second half. I would've played Mangala but okay after an intense week he probably needed a rest. Need to see more from Kun

Ref bottled the handball. That was a nailed on penalty.

Can I have some of your drugs. We are dreadful tonight, and that was never a peno. Shit game, we are playing within ourselves. Clichy is pointless player, Milner and Kolarov should have started and Navas is having no effect at all, so Nasri should be on to give us more control of the ball

I'm glad I'm not as much of a miserable fuck as you and the other match day thread moaners. If you feel entitled to batter everyone we play home and away then I can't help you. Roma are one of the best sides in Europe. We should've had two pens and they should be down to 10 men. It's been a cracking first half with some poor officiating.

Nasri is injured bud.

i'd be fucked off if i were dzeko and got subbed after being the best player in the team (along with fern). if a striker makes way it should be sergio, in reality i think navas will come off for milner for a 4-3-1-2

Can't disagree with the comments on here, not least because I predicted a real struggle in the pre-match thread. That said we've been even more ineffective than even I anticipated. Complete dogshit in fact. Outpassed, outrun and outclassed in midfield, too slow all over the pitch, and crowded out up front. Kolarov's got to come on to sit in front of Clichy, and ditto Milner down the right for Navas. Sadly that would mean Kun coming off, but I don't see another solution. Lack of pace, athleticism and power does for us every time against decent opposition in this competition

He has noone in front of him...there is absilutely nothing he can do about it....the tactics are at fault not the player

Someone else that can see it. Tactics all wrong. It needs some cover on that side.
Funny how Zaba does fine with Nasri in front of him.

It wasn't Silva's fault when Totti brushed Clichy out of the way like he was a piece of string.

Get Kolarov on for Clichy, Get Milner on for Navas.

Nor was it Clichy's fault for the goal. He isn't having a good game by any stretch of the imagination (not many are) but Kolarov isn't going to make us stronger defensively.

Agree with putting Milner in though.

Attacking Maicon is the key, he is getting forward too much - putting him on the back foot will change Roma's entire mindset.

Kolarov on for Clichy, Milner on for Navas and over to the left, game on
