Lack of work rate from Phillips is what frustrates me, he gives it away, then casually jogs back and puts no effort into pressuring the guy who ends up shooting from the edge of the box.

Been accustomed to our players working hard no matter what, but especially when it's them who've given the ball away.

Yeah, I think we're seeing today why he's not been playing. His passing is tidy enough, but his anticipation isn't great, keeps stepping up at the wrong time, doesn't show strength in the tackle a lot of the time, and then doesn't bust a gut to get back when he's beaten either.
