Byrne has impressed me... feisty and seems to have good feet... Ambrose is a prospect also... a couple of players seems nervous

Who the Fck are these negative twunts commentators on Eurosport, any opportunity to have a dig, talk about Schalke developing youth etc...

I don't watch these guys often but every time I do, its Angelino who has consistently played well, with Jack Byrne just in behind. Pozo showing some nice touches and can't help but be impressed with the big lad Tosin at the back considering he's only 16? 17?

This is a tough game and Schalke definitely look dangerous, although our last line of defence is standing up well. Our two centre backs are impressive. Maffeo is a real terrier given his size. I thought Schalke have given very little space to Ambrose and Barker. The one chance Barker had was a terrific shot. I think our captain, Bryan, is also having a very strong game.

The goal was a bit lucky, but it seems the ball may be swirling about in the wind. Pozo has held the ball up quite well, even though he doesn't look like a natural number 9. To me Ambrose looks a more natural fit for that position, with Pozo playing more a Silva type role.

Overall pleased with the scoreline. If the game opens up a bit and Barker and Ambrose can get a bit more room, we can put a couple more on Schalke.

I know. Whinging arsewipes. I think we might make something out of Ambrose and Smith-Brown. Tassenda's been decent too. Less convinced by Barker though. Good to see Iheanacho at last!

very nice win on penalties... not much between the teams I thought... both teams seems well orginazied and almost nullified each other... great win tho!!

Injured. Thought it was going to be a stretcher job initially (ankle or Achilles - it was hard to tell), but he hobbled off under his own steam eventually. Won 3-1 on pens though.

We should keep an eye on that kid Sarni up front for them. Looked a real prospect

That lad though was 19 and I believe and the oldest player on the pitch. I agree though he did stand out.

I hope Iheanacho's injury isn't serious, the commentators said it was an innocuous tackle, but as we know from experience they sometimes can be the worst. Great win well done boy blues!!
