With Var offside should be judged where the feet are, other parts of the body are too contentious and the final view can be manipulated, generally players are stood upright most of the time, apart from the Red tops diving team players.

No, he wasnt offside. They selected a part of his arm (not his hand which was further forward) that was offside. So i ask you this smart arse...if the VAR puts the line on his shoulder does anyone complain?

In terms of poor refereeing, I’m definitely leaning more towards the incompetence explanation than the nefarious explanation, given the uniformly poor officiating that every club has suffered from at some point this season
