Don't know why Walker is getting so much shit either. He hasn't been great but everything that's come at us, has initially come from our left.

Gvardiol looks lost defending.

We were exactly the same last season at maxim ran us ragged. It’s not too hard to see the way they would play against us

Quite agree about Ayme. Madness, bad enough letting Gundo and Mahrez go. Wafer thin squad, with a lot of injury prone players.
 
Very good in certain aspects of the game but even worse in others leading to a completely disjointed performance that feels like year 1 pep.

Pep badly needs to change this formation if we are to salvage this. Play a normal back 4 so we aren't outnumbered at the back everytime they get the ball to start with. Then get our winger on the wing and instruct foden to be more direct when he's picking it up in the pockets. He's had about half a dozen very good shooting opportunities and ignored them all.

No sugar coating it, this will be a complete disaster if we don't win here. Dippers managed it with 10 men.
 
The replay just gets worse and worse for Kyle. On the first, he quite literally opens up his body allowing even more space for Isak. The second, he looks like he couldn't give two shits. I don't think it's that, but he just doesn't trust his pace anymore and has never been a 'natural' defender.
 
Doku losing the ball upfield has been a problem because we are not defending the counter attack. Our full backs are giving their winger the freedom of Newcastle and Kovacic is doing nothing.

On the other hand when Doku runs at their defender he causes genuine panic. Our goal came from one of his runs and a pass to Walker. Bernie’s strike against the bar came from another run. We know he is going to take chances and he’s going to lose possession, we habe to figure out how to deal with it. Grealish will keep the ball but he doesn’t create the chances Doku does.
 
That's just never a booking for Rodri. Gimeresh dived at him lifting both feet off the floor, that's embarassing for the referee having just missed a possible second yellow for the same player for deliberately leaving a foot in. But that's the shit we have to put with.

Walker cannot play that high against Gordon its just daft. Need more from Doku but fuck me they've had 2 shots on target.
 
doku not using his left foot at all while dribbling makes him so much slower than he should be
 
Taking allegiances out of it , this is a superb game of football , the Barcodes have taken the two presents Walker provided really well , two great finishes. Bernardo's goal was also sublime , nothing wrong with this performance at the moment. We will show why we are champions in the 2nd half if we keep on opening up the Barcodes by running at their defence, Foden has been electric in the middle , same eleven for 2nd half until 65 minutes and if we do not break through bring Kev on to deliver the final ball we need.

I don't want to believe it, but the Treble + World cup season may have taken it out of their legs. We are being out hustled constantly this season.

It’s getting so fucking tiring just watching bang average teams lump it over the top and catching our defenders with their thumbs up their arse.

I’d genuinely back us to get caught out and concede against a Sunday league side at present.

Despite all of our possession, I also don’t see where goals are coming from, we’re all fart and no shit.

All that aside though, come on Blues.
