Even with a depleted squad this didn’t used to happen. We have allowed the squad to drift in quality.

We’ve won a quadruple without De Bruyne and others (2018-19). We’ve nearly won a treble without Agüero and all our centre halves for a while (2020-21… we won at Palace with Fernandinho and Rodri at centre half).

I think it's both injuries AND a lack of quality – that's what's going to make this such a tough season.
