Phil to pull us out of the shit again
Watching that half, he's not our problem. We are playing with ten men. On that last break we had Kev, Jesus and Bernardo busting a gut to get forward as Mahrez jogged along 20 metres behind - Yes Rodri is not at Ferna in his pomp level but he does enough and actually does look as though he gives a shit. Mahrez on the other hand is playing like he only cares if he plays for Algeria. That once again was yet another 45 mins of the most ineffectual play from a guy who is our record signing brought here to win games like this. As long as he's in our first 11 we will be nowhere near to where we should be. Bobbins all round and not one fan can defend his efforts this year. It’s the things Rodri doesn’t do that makes him not good enough. He does good things, he’s a good player, but not good enough.
Far too often he just stands still and allows the opposition midfield to stand in gaps where we can’t pass through the midfield. The pass doesn’t have to be to Rodri, it’s the space he doesn’t create by not moving midfielders around with constant movement that means we can’t pass through to our attacking mids from defence.
Also, when he gets the ball, nothing major ever happens.
Top 4 would be an achievement this season the way we are playingWe need major work blues. No point denying it anymore. We are an average team at present. Not good enough from pep or the players. Sooo sick of this possession with no clear structured attack's.
Ball goes into cm then out wide then into Kev then back to cm and repeat. The rm and lm run like headless chickens into a packed defence. Broken and useless
We don’t win when losing at half timeWe could win this 2-1 if pep goes for it or we could easily loose 3 nil
