Much maligned at times I'm going to give a positive to the match day thread.
If you're watching the game live on TV and the stress and tension becomes too much, turn it over and follow the game on the match day thread.
There you can constantly refresh it in the hope we have scored when all looked lost on the TV. There will be some false elation when some idiot types "Wow!" Or something similarly positive when nothing in particular has happened, but stick with it. A good indicator something major has happened is the page numbers jumping up very quickly. This of course could be a good or bad sign, but often it is a good one.
So take a bow the match day thread. The modern equivalent of Teletext or Piccadilly radio's "It's a goal!" Jingle. Those of a certain age will know.....
