....sorry to those who were in it, but it was slowing the forum down to a near stop, so I moved most of it to speed us up.

Can avoid a million threads in here please, try and keep to one or two.

It wasn't possible to do that I'm afraid, I may return them later once its a bit quieter and see if it slows us again. Its to do with the number of open connections on the db, known problem, and that is the only solution. Fortunately it worked.

I'm not an expert, but moving the big topics so they can't be accessed does speed things up right away.
