From everything im reading it just seems like we dont rate him too highly.

If we get nobody then I suspect Bernardo can rotate there, centrally and right wing , but we are really spreading the squad thin if we get injuries.

Maybe Akanji or Stones will be used more predominantly as the 6 also, rather than as a CB who pushes up.

Lewis and/or McAtee would be heavily relied on to fill the gaps, and should probably start the cup games.

Wow thats a lot of accusations thrown at the club which is unfounded and unfair. You don’t know if city low balled or not. Maybe we have been told the fee from his agent and maybe wolves decided to add £20m due to the market and city tax. If anything his current club should be held to account for inflating the market!

So any club can demand anything from City once we show interest and we just say ok? Here take the money because why exactly?

WTF are you on about? I stick up for this club as much if not more than anyone on here. Ste and Ahsan said the same thing on their Esteemed Kompany podcast today. The point is City had to know 47mil was never going to be enough. Who's saying pay whatever they want? Now there's a leap. I'm saying City's refusal to bump the offer at all is a bit odd and signifies they were never fully convinced on this move. Otherwise in this market at this late hour they had to know it was going to take 55 to 60mil when all was said and done. I said the kid should not have stopped training but don't act like City coming in for a kid like him isn't going to turn his head. At least be realistic and honest...

Whatever the figure we have bid is probably what Mendes said we could get him for , and we have thought that alright for a back up , but we won't go any higher, Wolves are trying for more , but I doubt we will fo higher than whatever we have bid

No, as far as we know what happened was we made a bid of £47m which Wolves rejected. They then decided to negotiate publicly via the media that they wanted at least £60m. We don’t negotiate via the media, and we haven’t (yet) apparently made another offer. We may do, or we may have decided that the £60m that Wolves publicly briefed is beyond our valuation, but one thing is for sure we do not do our negotiations in public, we are a lot more professional than that.
